Taunton to Bridgwater Canal Challenge

Our Canal Challenge is a family fun Cycle Walk Paddle to the Sun and beyond! Finish either Maunsel Lock (7 miles) or Bridgwater Docks (14 miles). FREE paddling at Somerset Boat Centre for participants of the event. Refreshment stops at Somerset Boat Centre and Maunsel Lock Tea Rooms. Shuttle bus service back for walkers from Maunsel Lock and Bridgwater Docks. Safe road route home provided for cyclists wanting to cycle a Loop. Paddlers exit at Somerset Boat Centre. Parking and turning available for buses and trailers. If you want to paddle on to Bridgwater Docks you should be aware that the stretch between Higher and Lower Locks at Maunsel will need to be walked.
